Get your hands dirty and dig into the world of seed starting with Mallory Smith, harvest manager for Alaska Harvest Collaborative. In this hands-on class, you'll learn the secrets to successfully starting your own seedlings indoors before the outdoor growing season begins. Mallory will share her top tips and tricks for cultivating healthy, thriving seedlings.

Topics will cover:

  • Choosing seeds and varieties
  • A sowing schedule that maximizes plant potential
  • Selecting the ideal soil medium
  • A hands-on demo of soil block techniques
  • Tips on transplanting, watering, and caring for your seedlings
