Mallory Smith, harvest coordinator for the Alaska Harvest Collaborative, will lead a presentation on turning kitchen scraps and garden waste into rich, nutrient-packed soil that will help your garden thrive! This is a hands-on workshop where participants will learn the essentials of garden composting—from the basics of balancing green and brown materials to creating and mixing the perfect compost pile. May 20, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Location: Meet at the entrance of Georgeson Botanical Garden at Fairbanks Experiment Farm, 2180 W. Tanana Drive, on the west side of the UAF Troth Yeddha' Campus.
