Juneau: Wild Kitchen Walk - April 25, 2026

Join University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service Professor Sarah Lewis and Southeast Alaska foraging expert and author Corinne Conlon to sustainably gather local, wild, edible plants and learn about their uses in cooking.

1-7 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026. $80.

Foraging walk: 1-3 p.m., Auke Recreation Area wild areas (expect moderate wilderness hiking up and down slopes, and wet, cold conditions).

Wild kitchen time: 4-7 p.m., Chapel by the Lake, 11024 Auke Lake Way, Juneau.

Wild edibles we’ll likely find and cook with: nettles, fireweed shoots, devil’s club shoots, violets and other emerging buds and shoots. Weʼll make several dishes for dinner and enjoy them together.
