Certified Food Protection Manager Training June 30, 2025

A certified food protection manager (CFPM) is responsible for monitoring and managing all food establishment operations to ensure that the facility is in compliance with food establishment regulations. A CFPM is knowledgeable about food safety practices and uses this knowledge to provide consumers with safe food, protect public health and prevent food borne illnesses. Alaska regulations require food establishments to have at least one CFPM on staff.
Cooperative Extension will offer the Certified Food Protection Manager training from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on June 30, 2025, via Zoom or in-person in Fairbanks.
Exams must be taken with proctors. Proctors for this exam will be available in Fairbanks, Juneau, Sitka. If you are in another location but would like to attend, please contact lashallcross@alaska.edu with location information before signing up so proctoring can be arranged.
