UAA Crafts Fair 2024
The annual UAA Crafts Fair is held in the Student Union and hosts over 100 crafters selling their handmade, Alaskan products. This year's fair will be held on
December 7th, 2024 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
.
The UAA Crafts Fair has a strong reputation for presenting high quality, unique items that are handmade here in Alaska. Our shoppers know they will be able to speak directly with the artist and find a wonderful array of items. To maintain this level of quality, all vendors are juried into the fair.
Commercial, imported, or wholesale items are not allowed in our fair. The UAA Crafts Fair Committee reserves the right to remove vendors who have misrepresented merchandise, resulting in forfeiture of vendor fees and future invitations to this fair.

Criteria and Rules
Criteria:
UAA Crafts Fair items must be handmade and non-commercial.
Handmade, non-commercial items are defined as:
Any product that is built, formed, fabricated, or assembled from raw or semi-finished material which is changed in character in the final product by the crafter’s business.
A product that is sold after undergoing a “value-added process.” This is a process that changes raw material or basic industrial material into a more finished product or alters the function, shape, or appearance resulting in a product with increased value.
A product that requires individual attention and is produced in small quantities with a minimum number of power tools as a home occupation or small studio operation.
Commercial, non-qualifying vendors are defined as:
Any vendor who sells their product(s) in large commercial stores such as Carrs/Safeway, Fred Meyer, or Wal-Mart. Co-ops and consignments are not considered in this category.
Vendors with their own store fronts with business signage, regular store hours, and year-round operation.
Rules:
No booth sharing.
Each craftsperson/artisan must be present during the entire day of the fair.
The use of hazardous materials/finishes within the Student Union is strictly prohibited.
Alcohol, tobacco, and drug-related products (including cannabis) are prohibited.
