NASA Coloring Book

Journey through the Heliosphere: The Sun Earth System in Color features hand-drawn illustrations of heliophysics concepts and a kinesthetic adventure around the solar system. See the invisible magnetic fields of planets and stars, get up close to a solar flare without feeling the heat, and  explore the many ways our lives are affected by the Sun. 

Educators can use this book to spark curiosity and creativity while exploring the science of the Sun and its connection to life on Earth. Each page blends artistic expression with key heliophysics concepts, encouraging students to learn through both science and storytelling. Each concept is presented through a coloring page, brief scientist approved passage, and a showcase of each concept within Alaska Indigenous cultures. 

Books are $7/each.

Local pickup: You may pick up your order at the UAF Elvey Building, 2156 N Koyukuk Drive, in Fairbanks, AK. Please contact uaf-gi-outreach@alaska.edu to schedule your pickup.

Shipping ($15-20): Orders of 1-5 books will ship for $15 flat rate, and orders of 5-35 books will ship for $20 flat rate.
