Alaska Basic Economic Development Course

The Alaska Basic Economic Development Course offers education in comprehensive economic and community development, tailored to the unique opportunities and challenges of Alaska. It is also appropriate for experienced professionals looking to adapt their skills to Alaska, economic development volunteers, and people working in cross-over fields such as transportation, utilities, real estate, finance, telecommunications, and native corporations. The Alaska BEDC is accredited by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), making it equivalent to IEDC's Introduction to Economic Development Course and eligible for the requirements of the IEDC Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) exam.
